The 80,000 square foot Hamon Arts Library includes reference stacks and reading areas, a periodicals browsing area, an audio/visual center, a computer center, a microfilm room, a seminar room, group study rooms, offices, a workroom and a lounge. The 168-seat O'Donnell Lecture/Recital Hall, the multi-purpose Taubman Atrium, and the Sharp Perfroming Arts Studio were also included in the project. The library is supported by state-of-the-art electronics and is housed in an architectural envelope which respects the collegiate Georgian style of the SMU campus.
